Blending raw energy with melodic subtlety, Coffee Beanz is a Franco-Senegalese duo that asserts a unique identity at the intersection of rap and alternative soul—sometimes in French, often in English. Led by rapper-singer Gent Kat and rapper Liljo023, the duo explores a rich, boundless musical universe where soul, trap, jazz, and electronic music converge.
Their music is built on a balance between two personalities, two sensibilities, and two worlds that, when they come together, form a single, unified entity. Coffee Beanz transforms this complementarity into a true sonic signature, blending powerful flows, captivating melodies, and productions with indie or lo-fi atmospheres.
It’s truly on stage that their magnetism shines; Liljo023 and Gent Kat express their experiences, emotions, and worldview with an approach that’s as instinctive as it is introspective. Each track becomes a playground for experimentation where the conventions of rap clash with the freedom of soul and more electronic sounds.
